How do you coach someone who can't read or write? That was a question I was asked recently.
I suggested getting the person to draw or paint pictures of their goal. Also, as the person wouldn't be able to write down their action steps, I suggested that they get the person to repeat them back during the coaching session to make sure they have understood them and also suggested phoning the client from time to time to make sure they are still on track.
Does anyone have any further thoughts on this?
